A wave of excitement has swept over fans worldwide who have eagerly anticipated the beloved crew's story in live-action format. The enthusiasm for One Piece has extended to the critical realm, with reviewers from various media outlets sharing their thoughts.

According to the Rotten Tomatoes aggregator, as of Friday (September 1), One Piece has garnered an impressive 82 percent approval rating from 34 critics' reviews. The series has also received high praise from audiences, with a rating of 94 percent based on over 5,000 user ratings.

Many critics have lauded the series as a satisfying adaptation. David Opie, in his review for Empire Magazine, praised the uniqueness of the live-action adaptation, deeming it enjoyable for both die-hard fans and newcomers alike.

Angelica Bastien, a critic from Vulture, echoed a similar sentiment. She noted that the One Piece live-action series demonstrates the creators' commitment to faithfully translating the original version.

"This is an enjoyable, unique adaptation that deserves to be experienced by fans and newcomers to One Piece," wrote Opie of Empire Magazine.

"One Piece on Netflix showcases a commitment to preserving what made the original version so fantastic," said Angelica Bastien.

Other critics also commented on the storytelling quality and various elements within the series. Steven Nguyen, in his review for Slant Magazine, remarked that One Piece successfully combines action and comedy, even though it doesn't quite achieve the pinnacle of dramatic excellence.

Meanwhile, Liz Miller from Consequence observed that One Piece packs an incredible amount of material into a single season. Nevertheless, this ambitious effort pays off handsomely in the form of an engaging and enjoyable adventure.

"The series may not be a great drama, but the fantastic blend of action and comedy is incredibly enjoyable," expressed Steven Nguyen.

"At the end of the day, One Piece may contain a lot, but what truly matters is the adventure," concluded Miller of Consequence.
